Meet a Birmingham SAT Tutor: Elise W.

Elise W. was born in Vienna but moved to Boston with her family as a teen. Elise fell in love with science at an early age and dreamed of one day becoming a researcher and educator. She worked very hard during high school, obtaining high grades, playing varsity tennis, and serving as vice president of the student council. Her hard work, combined with a very high SAT score, earned Elise a place at Brown University, where she majored in biology with a minor in chemistry. Elise worked in the college's learning center as a tutor for four semesters, helping others master topics that came easily to her, and she quickly discovered how much she enjoyed supporting others' learning.

After graduating from Brown, Elise obtained a master's degree in education from Boston University. She then accepted a job teaching science classes at a public high school in Boston. After several years, Elise was offered a position at a private school in Birmingham, and she was thrilled to relocate and begin a new adventure. Knowing the value of a quality education, Elise sought ways to help students earn their own college acceptance letters.
