Meet a Birmingham GRE Tutor: Mark E.
Mark E. grew up in Seattle and obtained an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Washington. He knew he wanted to pursue a career as an economist, so he took preparing for the GRE very seriously. Mark enrolled in a weekly online group prep course, which he supplemented with a few private tutoring sessions, ensuring he knew exactly what to expect on the day of his exam. Mark's hard work was rewarded when he obtained a very high GRE score that earned him acceptance to the London School of Economics. After graduating with an advanced degree, Mark was offered a position at an international research organization with an office in Birmingham. Mark happily accepted the job, thrilled to have a reason to remain in England.
Mark had done a significant amount of student teaching during his undergrad and graduate programs, and he soon found that he missed working directly with students. When he learned Manhattan Review had an office in Birmingham, he reached out about helping students prepare for the GRE, and we couldn't have been happier to welcome him to our team. Students appreciate his strong math-related skills and helpful time management techniques. When he isn't helping students excel on the GRE and gain their own admittance to world-class graduate programs, Mark can be found training for triathlons and trying new beers along the Stirchley Beer Mile with friends.
