General Motors, CVS Health, Bank of America, Cairn Energy, Scottish Widows, and Edinburgh University Press are just some of the companies to employ our alumni. Others have pursued public sector careers, in areas such as scientific research, education, civil service, and philanthropy. No matter what your academic and professional goals are, Manhattan Review's GRE prep classes and private tutoring in Edinburgh can help you achieve them through a strong graduate school application that features elite test scores.
Understanding the GRE is one of the keys to a high score. It's fairly well known that the test evaluates analytical writing, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning. It is important to be familiar not just with the tested material itself, but also with how these skills are evaluated on the GRE. Manhattan Review's GRE prep classes and private tutoring address both of these areas with equal rigor, ensuring that our students are equipped with academic knowledge and experience with GRE questions. Subject matter competence and familiarity with the construction of the test combine to give our students the confidence that produces even better results. Our GRE prep classes also make use of available data on test scores in order to address common problems that occur among students from several different disciplines. The typical humanities major needs more work on the quantitative section than on verbal skills, while for most science majors, the reverse is true. Manhattan Review's prep classes in Edinburgh offer effective GRE prep for today's diverse body of prospective graduate students.

Meet an Edinburgh GRE Tutor: Shane A.
Shane A. is an Edinburgh-based GRE and SAT tutor for Manhattan Review and a professional rock musician. Originally from Rochester, New York, he is a graduate of Brown University, with bachelor's and master's degrees in philosophy. He has been a prep tutor since his undergraduate days in the early 2000s, and has also taught English as a second language.
Shane's students are sometimes taken aback by his appearance, but they are quickly convinced of his abilities as a teacher. "He doesn't look like a typical prep tutor, but he knows how to get results," said one of Shane's former students who was accepted to an Ivy League graduate program in anthropology. When he's not tutoring, Shane teaches rock guitar privately and frequently performs in local clubs. He also is a diehard fan of the New York Mets.
