Meet a Birmingham SAT Tutor: Angus H.
Angus H. was born and raised in Edinburgh, then relocated to the United States for college. He obtained a very high SAT score, and combined with his extracurricular activities and impressive grades, this led to him being accepted at several high-ranking colleges. Angus chose to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in education. He spent five semesters working as a tutor and loved helping others master information that came easily to him. After graduating, he obtained a master's degree in teaching from Duke University. He then accepted a position with a well-known educational consulting company in Washington, DC, working with schools on better addressing the academic needs of students with learning differences.
When Angus's wife was offered a promotion that would require the couple to relocate to Birmingham, Angus was excited for new opportunities to connect with students. He continued with his educational consulting work, but he also hoped to work directly with students again, making a difference in their lives and improving their learning. He soon joined the team at Manhattan Review, and his students love his classroom-style prep courses, praising his out-going personality and in-depth knowledge of standardized tests. Angus loves watching his students succeed and gain their own acceptances into leading colleges. When he isn't helping students master the SAT, Angus can be found fixing up an old car and working on his amateur photography skills.
